Saudi Arabia, allies add Qatar-linked groups, individuals to terror list

Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt have added nine organizations and nine individuals who have direct and indirect ties with Qatari authorities to their terror list, according to a statement carried on the official Saudi Press Agency (SPA) today.

The four governments imposed a boycott on Qatar last month, accusing the Gulf nation of supporting terrorism.

Six of the nine entities added to the list are based in Libya, while the other three are charities in Yemen.

Meanwhile, the list of individuals includes three Qataris, one Kuwaiti, two Yemenis, and two Libyans.

“The three Qatari individuals on the list, along with a Kuwaiti individual, have engaged in fund-raising campaigns to support Al-Nusra Front and other terrorist militias in Syria,” the statement said.

The Yemeni individuals and organizations were added to the list as they have provided support to the Al-Qaeda terrorist group by using “significant funding” from Qatari charities.

The two Libyan men and six entities, affiliated with terror groups in Libya, have also received substantial funds from Qatar, SPA added.
