As part of its continued commitment to community development, alrajhi bank marked Social Responsibility Day by launching the campaign “Our Numbers Have a Footprint in Charity,” an extension of its Ramadan initiative “Your Footprint Has an Impact.” This campaign underscores the bank’s efforts to promote charitable giving and ease the hardships of those in need through meaningful contributions.
To simplify and encourage donations, alrajhi bank introduced the “Quick Donation” feature within its mobile app, allowing users to contribute with just one click. The service enables donations to over 1,700 registered charities and 12 endowment funds, in addition to supporting key national platforms. The initiative aligns with the bank’s broader efforts during the holy month of Ramadan to amplify charitable impact and support national fundraising campaigns such as the Good Housing Platform, Ihsan, Tabar’a, and Farajat.
Social responsibility is deeply rooted in alrajhi bank’s values and remains a key focus aligned with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, which highlights the private sector’s role in driving community advancement and building a sustainable economy. The bank’s recognition with the Gold Award for excellence in social responsibility by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development reflects its leadership and dedication in this domain.
Over recent years, alrajhi bank’s investments in social responsibility and sustainable development have exceeded SAR 5 billion. The bank has supported the healthcare sector by establishing several medical centers in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and contributing to the creation of the Autism Center in Riyadh. It also launched a national initiative to fund 91 kidney transplants and backed the “Nation of Giving” program during the COVID-19 pandemic, which provided essential medical supplies and food support. Additionally, the bank has supported community fund initiatives with contributions exceeding SAR 24 million.
In the field of education, alrajhi bank introduced the Orphan Education Sponsorship Program, now in its fourth year, enabling more than 200 male and female students to continue their studies in specialized disciplines. The bank has also made substantial contributions to university endowments, with SAR 80 million allocated to King Saud University and SAR 20 million to King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals.
In the housing sector, the bank played an instrumental role by constructing 222 housing units in partnership with the Housing Development Foundation. Furthermore, during alrajhi bank Night, the bank and its customers collectively donated SAR 172 million to the Good Housing campaign.
The bank’s commitment to charitable work continues throughout the year. Total donations made through the “Quick Donation” service on the alrajhi app to national and nonprofit platforms have now exceeded SAR 1.3 billion, demonstrating the bank’s unwavering support for building a stronger, more compassionate society.
