Mobily shareholders elect board members for 4-year term, names Abdulkarim Alnafie as Chairman

Shareholders of Etihad Etisalat Co. (Mobily) approved the election of a new board of directors for the next four-year term during the ordinary general meeting (OGM) held on Nov. 28.

In a statement to Tadawul, the company said that the new board's term will start on Dec. 1, 2024, and conclude on Nov. 30, 2028.

The elected members are Fahd Al Aessi, Hatem Dowidar, Khalifa Al-Shamsi, Mohamed Bennis, Moataz Qusay Al-Azzawi, Abdulkarim Alnafie, Nabeel Al-Amudi, Ahmed Aboudoma, Khaled Alghoneim, and Mansour Al-Mansour.

In a separate statement, Mobily said that the board appointed Abdulkarim AlNafie, an independent member, as Chairman and Nabeel Al-Amudi, also an independent member, as Vice Chairman.

Moreover, the board decided to form the subcommittees in line accordance their approved duties and authorities. It also appointed a secretary and designated company representatives to the Capital Market Authority and the Saudi Exchange (Tadawul) for matters related to the implementation of the Capital Market Law and its executive regulations.
