US natural gas inventories rose by 55 billion cubic feet (bcf) in the week ended Sept. 27, below the expected increase of 59 bcf.

 

The US Energy Information Administration reported today, Oct. 3, that total natural gas inventories reached 3.54 trillion cubic feet (tcf), 3.7% (almost 127 bcf) higher than the same period last year.

 

Inventories are also 5.7% (nearly 190 bcf) above the five-year (2019-2023) average of 3.35 tcf.
