MEPCO CEO Sami Al Safran retires, Rob Renders takes over

Middle East Paper Co.’s (MEPCO) board approved, on June 12, the resignation of CEO Sami Al Safran, effective June 13, 2024, according to a statement to Tadawul.

 

Al Safran, whose resignation was attributed to his retirement plans, was appointed board advisor.

Rob Jan Renders, currently a board member, was appointed as the acting CEO.

 

Renders holds a Master's in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Technology, Eindhoven. He has extensive experience in the packaging industry and as a business consultant.
