Saudi Arabia top investor in tourism globally: Official

Saudi Arabia outperformed G20 countries in tourism compared to pre-COVID levels, Al Eqtisadiah newspaper reported, citing Abdullah Al Dakhil, spokesman for the Saudi Tourism Authority, who also said the Kingdom is the top investor in tourism globally.

The tourism sector seeks to raise its contribution to GDP to 10%, create one million new jobs, and reach the new target of 150 million visits annually by 2030, Al Dakhil said.

The sector is moving towards the empowerment of youth, entrepreneurs, local communities and partners in the Saudi tourism system and the private sector to achieve Vision 2030 goals.
