Saudi-listed telecom giants stc, Etihad Etisalat Co. (Mobily) and Mobile Telecommunication Company Saudi Arabia (Zain KSA) announced the launch of an alliance to provide innovative services and products to support decision-making in government agencies.

The collaboration, named Fusion Co., was launched today, Oct. 18, at the Digital Technology Forum 2023, organized by the Communications, Space and Technology Commission (CST) in partnership with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.

In a statement, CST pointed out that the forum recognized the new alliance’s official identity. Fusion’s Managing Director Abdulaziz Al Shamsi also demonstrated the company’s aspirations and vision to be the Kingdom’s hub for all telecommunication data.

The alliance also aims to provide comprehensive insights to government agencies by collecting and analyzing data from major service providers to be presenting as customized data for stakeholders.

During his demo, Al Shamsi stated that the company will provide multiple products, including demographic analysis, population census, traffic statistics, in addition to data on public road routes, public transportation, and parking.

He also pointed to the empowerment and stimulation enablers provided by CST through experimental regulatory environment for innovative solutions by the SandBox providers.

On the sidelines of the forum, Fusion signed two memorandums of understanding with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah and the Ministry of Tourism, in order to discuss ways to improve performance efficiency, increase productivity, and enhance economic development and sustainability.

In July, CST announced the registration of the alliance formed by the three telcos, seeking to provide innovative products and solutions to government agencies across the Kingdom, Argaam earlier reported.
