SASCO says preliminary ruling orders Housing Ministry to pay SAR 25.9 mln

Saudi Automotive Services Co. (SASCO) received today, Oct. 15, a preliminary ruling from the General Court in Riyadh, obligating the Ministry of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing to pay SAR 25.9 million in compensation for the encroachment on the company’s land located in Riyadh, according to a statement to Tadawul.

 

SASCO also said that the related financial impact will be determined when a final ruling is issued, adding that it will announce any developments later in this regard.

 

In February 2019, the General Court in Riyadh ordered the ministry to pay SAR 8.22 million in compensation to SASCO.

 

In 2013, SASCO had filed a legal claim against the ministry for encroachment on the former’s land in Hafar Al-Batin, Riyadh, according to Argaam's data.
