Arabian Cement Co. (ACC) stated that the Appeal Court in Jeddah issued today, Sept. 10, a final verdict against Emaar The Economic City (Emaar EC) ordering the latter to provide it with 4.57 million tons of limestone to be used in cement manufacturing.

This final ruling will be enforced immediately and submitted to the Enforcement Court in Jeddah within the next business day, the company said in a Tadawul statement.

In principle, the convicted entity will bear the judicial cost related to the lawsuit and related requests, including the enforcement.

There is no financial impact from this court ruling, and the company will announce any relevant developments in due course.

In June 2022, ACC announced receiving a court order in its favor, ordering Emaar EC to supply the company with 4.57 million tons of limestone based on the agreement signed by the two parties on April 28, 2012, according to data available with Argaam.

In October 2022, the cement producer received a favorable appeal ruling from Jeddah Commercial Court revoking the preliminary court’s decision.

In May 2023, ACC said a preliminary court ruling was issued in its favor by the General Court in Jeddah against Emaar EC ordering the latter to provide the cement producer with 4.57 million tons of limestone.
