Oil settles 1% lower

Oil drilling rigs


Oil settled 1% lower today, July 10, after posting an over 4% gain last week amid potential economic recession on a continued monetary tightening cycle.

 

Brent futures for September delivery settled 1%, or 78 cents lower, at $77.69 a barrel.

 

West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude for August delivery dropped by 1.15%, or 87 cents, to $72.99 a barrel.
