MIS signs non-binding MoU with Ministry of National Guard

Al Moammar Information Systems Co. (MIS) signed, on Feb. 7, a non-binding memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of National Guard to provide a general framework for facilitating cooperation between the two parties in Saudi Arabia, MIS said today in a statement to Tadawul. 

The MoU aims to enhance and sustain cooperation between both parties in establishing a strategic partnership based on the principles of reciprocity and integration in the fields related to providing comprehensive solutions for information and communication technology, as well as providing services and solutions for MIS.

The contract is valid for one year from the signing. It is automatically renewable for a similar period until terminated by either party.

MIS added that it is currently impossible to estimate the relevant financial impact, noting that it will announce any updates in this regard later.

Under the MoU, MIS will support the digital transformation journey of the Ministry based on its experience in this field, and benefit from the trends of new technologies, including but not limited to the following:

1) Data centre strategy.

2) Information security.

3) New emerging technologies: Artificial intelligence (AI), smart government communication, big data, and data analysis, cloud computing, etc.

4) Develop human capabilities and making optimal use of the capabilities in the Ministry of National Guard.

5) Redefine user experiences, activating innovation, launching activating innovation and building data capabilities in the Ministry of National Guard, and review customer satisfaction measurement.

6) Develop the skills of individuals and creating a culture that embraces change and innovation, benefit from proven methodologies, accelerate development, modernize processes, and accelerate service delivery.

7) Participate in supporting the development of information technology and the architecture of technical solutions.
