Housing Ministry plans to deliver over 30,000 units in coming months: Official

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing plans to hand over more than 30,000 residential units in the coming months to boost housing supply and real estate development, AbdulRahman Al-Tawil, Deputy Minister for Real Estate Development, said.

During the past period, many housing units were handed over to the beneficiaries of Sakani Program, where delivery started in all previously-developed projects across regions of the Kingdom, including the Eastern and Central Regions, Riyadh, the Western Region, Jeddah, Makkah, Madinah, Taif and the Southern Region of Asir, Al-Tawil told Al Ekhbariya TV.

He pointed out that the real estate supply in Riyadh is one of the program's most important targets, where many residential units will be delivered.

The Ministry of Housing’s projects will use different construction methods with reasonable prices in prime locations.

The ministry is keen to support private developers to increase the number of residential units, which will bring price stability, the official added.

The second phase of the Idle Lands Program, as well as the supply that will be pumped through the National Housing Company and private real estate developers, will lead to excellent mobility and more stability in the next stage, the deputy minister indicated.

Al-Tawil also pointed out that the ministry continues through Sakani Program to provide new projects and additional products continuously in greater numbers in various regions of the Kingdom.

According to the data available on Argaam, Sakani Program announced yesterday the delivery of 594 housing units to the beneficiaries of the Khamis Oasis project in Khamis Mushait, Asir Region.
