National Water Co. (NWC) intends to offer and award 1,429 projects, at a total value exceeding SAR 108 billion — the largest package of projects in the water distribution sector.

The launch of these projects comes as a continuation of NWC’s plans and programs to develop water and environmental infrastructure, the company said in a statement today, Aug. 3.

The new additions will also help expand coverage of water and sewage networks, increase the capacity of treatment plants and raise coverage rates for water services to serve citizens and expats in various regions of the Kingdom.

NWC's Acting CEO Nemer AlShebel said the projects are distributed among 13 administrative areas across Saudi cities and governorates in all six sectors.

"This package of projects is an extension of the unlimited support from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and his Crown Prince. It will contribute to achieving the objectives of the National Water Strategy and Saudi Vision 2030 in the environmental, water, economic and development fields," AlShebel stated.

He also stressed that these projects will be implemented with the highest quality, as they will contribute to increasing the proportion of local content, and will positively reflect on the Kingdom's economic activity.
