Ayman Al-Sanad, CEO of Mrsool, the Saudi delivery app, expected the company to go public within the next two or three years, adding that the application received 100 million orders and currently targets one billion orders.
The app failed upon launch, but aimed to compete with other delivery offers in the second launch, Al-Sanad told Rotana Khalijia TV. The application was also close to failure again after its second launch, due to funding needs, but cooperation with stc helped its survive and break target records.
The app pricing policy depends on offers, Al-Sanad clarified, adding that the deliveryman is free to choose prices. The minimum offer was set at SAR 15, based on city and neighborhood.
Al-Sanad added that the delivery market localization decision will have a great impact on companies. More than 200,000 deliverymen are working monthly, while the total number of registered clients exceed 10 million.
Mrsool targets entry into the remaining GCC countries, namely Kuwait, Qatar and the UAE.
Mrsool was established in 2015 as an on-demand delivery app. It allows clients to choose the best offer made by deliverymen.
The app currently operates in Saudi Arabia and Egypt.
