Saudi Arabia’s planned carrier will boost international routes and carry transit passengers via connections in the Kingdom, Reuters reported, citing first-hand sources with knowledge of the matter.

The airline will be based in Riyadh and the Public Investment Fund (PIF) may help to set it up.

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman announced, on June 29, the national strategy for transport and logistics services, which aims to launch a new national carrier and land bridge project, Argaam earlier reported.
