The General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) will extend the validity of residency permits, exit and re-entry visas, and visit visas of expats stranded abroad due to the COVID-19 travel ban, until July 31, 2021, Saudi Press Agency reported.

The extension will be done automatically for free in cooperation with the National Information Center.

The decision, which will only apply to 20 countries from where Saudi Arabia banned arrivals, came in line with King Salman’s directives and the government’s efforts to curb the COVID-19 outbreak.
