King Salman approves decisions of Saudi Health Council

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz approved a number of decisions taken by the Saudi Health Council (SHC), including the study on adding home care services to the benefits covered by the Council of Cooperative Health Insurance (CCHI) policy, while giving priority.

 

The decisions also include endorsing 'SEHA' unified platform for medical reports and the exchange between health sectors and competent authorities, as well as assigning the National Health Information Center with the coordination between the health sectors to categorize and process reports.

 

This also includes ensuring the health sectors are committed to applying unified mechanism for replacement of pharmaceuticals prepared by the Saudi Food and Drug Authority, Saudi Press Agency reported.

 

The decisions include endorsing the executive plan for the project of utilizing high-cost medical devices and equipment, for which specific roles have been set for the health sectors that provide services and the legislative authorities from SHC members, in addition to the National Unified Procurement Co. (NUPCO), and interim performance indicators.
