Bupa Arabia receives approval for Shariah Audit Report 2019

Bupa Arabia for Cooperative Insurance Co. (Bupa Arabia) received, on Jan. 6, 2021, the approval from its Shariah advisor for the annual Shariah Audit Report for 2019.

The report includes the Shariah approval from the Shariah advisor, the Shariah Review Bureau (SRB), in line with the prior years' reviews, on the following functions:

-Separation of Accounts (Shareholder & Policyholder)

-Compliance of Shareholder & Policyholders Investments with Shariah

The SRB will lead the ongoing supervision and monitoring of the company with regards to the above-mentioned functions and related processes from a Shariah perspective.

It will also engage the Shariah Audit to investigate and evaluate the extent of its adherence with directed Shariah policies and guidelines and to report any defective processes.
