Ataa Educational to offer tuition fee discounts for academic year 2020-2021

Ataa Educational Co.’s board of directors decided on Aug. 19, 2020, to provide a discount on the first-semester tuition fee for the academic year 2020-2021 for students in all grades.

The company said in a bourse statement that the discounts on the first-semester tuition fees amount to 60% for some academic levels.

The decision will impact the company’s financials for the fiscal year 2020-21; however, it cannot be presently determined, as it might vary depending on the number of students throughout the first academic semester.

The move is in line with the Ministry of Education’s plan to start the first semester online, the statement said, highlighting the company’s aim to share the impact caused by COVID-19 with parents and maintain the students’ base to serve long-term plans.

In addition, Ataa confirmed its readiness to provide all services online through its virtual platforms for students.

The company will disclose any development regarding the decision in due course.
