Wataniya announces readiness to insure vehicles before automatic issuance of traffic violations resumes

Wataniya Insurance Co. said that it is ready to insure vehicles as per the General Department of Traffic's announcement of the completion of the automated linking of vehicle insurance procedures with the National Information Center.

The Saudi insurer said in a bourse statement that owners must abide by the provisions of the traffic law and its executive regulations stipulating the necessity of a valid insurance for the vehicle that guarantees rights of those affected by accidents, before the automatic issuance of traffic violations resumes from July 22, 2020.

Wataniya added that the General Department of Traffic's decision as regards vehicle's valid insurance will be reflected on the company’s financial results for the fiscal year 2020.

On Tuesday, Saudi Arabia’s General Department of Traffic called on all vehicle owners to have valid vehicle insurance before the automatic issuance of traffic violations.
