Saudi Aramco appointed Mark A. Weinberger as an independent board member, effective March 31, 2020, the company said in a bourse statement.

 

Weinberger is the former global chairman and CEO of EY, and has also held several high level posts in the public sector in the United States.

 

He is currently a director on the boards of Johnson & Johnson and Metlife as well as a member on several boards of trustees, including the United States Council for International Business.

 

He holds a B.A. degree from Emory University (Economics), an MBA and JD from Case Western Reserve University and an LLM in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center.
