Oman Oil Marketing Company (OOMCO) plans to expand its operations in Saudi Arabia and Tanzania, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported, citing the CEO David Kalife.
“We have decided to start our plan in neighboring countries due to their significant similarities to the Omani market, particularly in business and consumers,” Kalife said.
“Currently there is a major growth in Tanzania, especially in the number of vehicles, in addition to its economic and political stability,” he further noted.
OOMCO aims to promote the Sultanate abroad and be among the top five fuel marketers in the Gulf region by 2025, he said.
“It also plans to acquire 40 percent of Omani market share, increase lubricants distribution, and expand its fuel service stations across the Sultanate,” Kalife concluded.
