The National Debt Management Center's (NDMC) board of directors, under the chairmanship of Minister of Finance Mohammed Al-Jadaan, approved the annual borrowing plan for 2022.

The plan includes forecasts of debt stability, based on the state's general budget statement for 2022, at SAR 938 billion.

The plan also includes a tendency to borrow approximately SAR 43 billion, to pay the dues of the principal, in addition to the possibility of proactively considering additional financing operations through the available financing channels, whether locally or internationally, including debt markets and alternative government financing, while considering the expected change in interest rates.

Last December, the center announced the completion of the borrowing plan for 2021, with a value of up to SAR 125 billion, of which the domestic and international financing constituted 60.5% and 39.5%, respectively.
