Saudi Arabia will unveil a plan soon to gradually resume Umrah visits, based on COVID-19 developments going forward, according to an official Ministry of Interior source.
The announcement came following the royal order issued by King Salman today on lifting all exit, entry restrictions on citizens, as well as reopening land, sea and air ports from Jan 1, 2021.
The Saudi government temporarily suspended Umrah visits for nationals and residents in late February over coronavirus fears, Argaam reported.
