Jarir Marketing Co. (JMC) announced on March 15 closing its showrooms that are located in Saudi shopping centers until further notice, the company said in a bourse filing on Monday.
The company shut down 16 showrooms in Rubeen Plaza, Hayat Mall, Panorama Mall in Riyadh; Tahlia street, Jamaah Mall, Prince Sultan Road, Prince Majid Road in Jeddah; Hijaz Markets, King Faisal Road in Makkah; Sultana Road and King Abdullah in Madinah; Howailat Center in Jubail, Amwaj Mall in Dhahran; Rashed Mall in Khobar; Tabuk Park in Tabuk and Waha Center in Khamis Meshait.
The decision came as part of the Kingdom’s precautionary and preventive measures to control the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
Other showrooms will continue to operate, while implementing the prescribed precautionary health measures.
JMC added that the related financial impact will be announced later on when sufficient information becomes available.
The company also shut down its four ‘Jair Bookstore’ showrooms in Kuwait until further notice, Argaam reported.
