The Citizen's Account Program announced developing and amending its rules in a way that aligns with its strategic goals of enhancing support efficiency and allowing access to the most eligible groups, under a recent royal decree, the state-run SPA reported.

The Citizen's Account Program revised its guidelines, effective from October 2023. Changes include raising the maximum support limit for families to six individuals (head of the household and dependents over 18 years old, plus three dependents under 18). The income cap is set at SAR 20,000 per beneficiary and their family, with a corresponding adjustment to the reduction threshold. Beneficiaries can use the program's online estimator to check eligibility accurately.

These changes ensure support reaches eligible recipients, safeguarding Saudi families, alleviating their burdens, and enhancing their livelihoods amid shifting global economic conditions.

The total disbursement to beneficiaries as of the program's inception until the latest payment in September 2023 has reached SAR 175 billion, serving more than 11.3 million primary and dependent beneficiaries to date.
