King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud issued directives today, Jan. 10, on extending support for the Citizen’s Account beneficiaries for additional three months until March 2023. Registration in the Citizen’s Account Program will also remain opened.

The decision was taken on the recommendations made by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on maintaining additional support for the program beneficiaries.

The move aligns with the royal order issued in July 2022 on allocating SAR 20 billion to help citizens mitigate the impacts of rising global prices. A total of SAR 8 billion of the total amount were earmarked as additional support for the program beneficiaries until the end of 2022, based on the previously-announced rules. Registration in the Citizen’s Account Program reopened according to the previously-set rules, the state-run SPA reported.
