Saudi Indian Company for Cooperative Insurance (Wafa Insurance) announced that its board of directors approved today, Feb. 1, 2021, reappointing Ayed Asri Al Anzi as acting CEO for further six months, according to a bourse filing.
The reappointment, effective from today, will not be renewed.
Wafa Insurance received the approval of the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) on the decision, the company added.
Al Anzi took the helm as acting CEO of Wafa Insurance on April 28, 2020. He was previously the company's supervisor of legal affairs since 2013. He has experience in legal and administrative affairs.
He holds a Bachelor's degree in Law from the University of Philadelphia, Jordan. He earned many certificates in insurance, contracts, securities disputes, anti-money laundering and fraud.
