Saudi Electricity Co.’s subsidiary, National Electricity Transmission Co., signed 4 agreements with Saline Water Conversion Corporation (SWCC) at a value of SAR 923.4 million.
The agreements are related to feeding desalination loads in Al-Shuqaiq, Ras al-Khair, Arafat and Rabigh.
The total loads of the four projects are estimated at 537.7 MVA, the company said in a statement indicating that the scope of work includes the construction of a central station with a voltage of 380/132 KV.
The projects also include the expansion of 2 central stations through adding 380 / 13.8 kV transformers for each station, establishing two 132 / 13.8 kV sub-stations and connecting them to the power grid.
