Shaker signs new agreement with LG to supply home appliances to Saudi market

Al-Hassan Ghazi Ibrahim Shaker Co. (Shaker) expanded its long-term strategic partnership with LG Electronics by signing a new agreement today, Dec. 19, to supply home appliances and entertainment products to the Saudi market.

 

The deal is in line with the company’s strategy to develop its business model and meet the evolving consumer needs and values. This is by diversifying and expanding its brand portfolio beyond heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) to include home appliances and entertainment products from LG.

 

In a statement to Tadawul, Shaker added that it is currently impossible to assess the financial impact of this agreement, noting that it will announce any updates at the appropriate time.

 

The latest retail report conducted by GfK on the Saudi market demonstrated LG’s significant market share in TV, dishwashers, refrigerators, washing machines, dryers and microwave ovens.
